SIMO: What is the difference between YE3 motor and YE4 motor?

LT SIMO Motor is able to produce YE3/YE4 series low-voltage three-phase motors, but what is the difference in efficiency between them?

1. Power is an important parameter of the motor.

The power range of the YE3 motor is 0.18-315KW;

The power range of the YE4 motor is 0.18-315KW;

It can be seen that the power range of the YE3 motor is wider than that of the YE4 motor. This means that the YE3 motor can meet the needs of greater power and is suitable for heavy-load starting and overload occasions.

2. Speed is another important parameter of the motor.

The rated speed of the YE3 motor is 3000rpm or 1500rpm;

The rated speed of the YE4 motor is 1500rpm;

It can be seen that the speed of the YE3 motor is higher than that of the YE4 motor.It is a high speed motor.This means that the YE3 motor can run at a higher speed and is suitable for occasions that require high-speed operation.

3. Efficiency is an important indicator of the motor.

The efficiency of the YE3 motor is the level 3 efficiency specified in the GB1032 specification;

The efficiency of the YE4 motor is the level 4 efficiency specified in the GB1032 specification;

It can be seen that the efficiency of the YE3 motor is lower than that of the YE4 motor. This means that the YE3 motor will lose more energy in energy conversion and is suitable for occasions where efficiency requirements are not high.

4. Structure is a key factor of the motor.

The YE3 motor is a fully enclosed self-fan cooled three-phase Asynchronous Motor;

The YE4 motor is a fully enclosed self-fan cooled three-phase asynchronous motor;

It can be seen that the structures of the three motors are different. This difference in structure will lead to differences in their heat dissipation methods, installation methods and protection levels. Specifically, the YE3 motor adopts a self-fan cooled heat dissipation method, which is suitable for working in harsh environments; the YE4 motor adopts a self-fan cooled heat dissipation method, which is suitable for working indoors.
